The Pierre Lady Governor volleyball team saw their season come to an end with a 3-1 loss to Mitchell in the 3rd place game of the District 3AA Volleyball tournament last night in Mitchell. The Kernals won the match 25-15, 25-16, 19-25, 25-17 in a competitive match. Pierre was led by sopomore Kaitlin Severyn who had 9 kills. Senior Ashley Polak added 21 set assists as the Lady Govs end their season with a 4-18 record and lost all 3 matches to the Kernals this season. Diana Misiaszek set a Mitchell school record for Kills in a career with 19 last night while Lexie Weier added 13. Mitchell will host Rapid City Central in a Region 2AA Playoff game Friday night.
The Pierre Athletic Booster Club will have their monthly November meeting on Tuesday of next week. The group will meet at the Riggs High School Cafeteria at 5:45 pm. Anyone interested in Pierre Governor and Lady Governor athletics is invited and encouraged to attend.
