Rod's Monday Thoughts Part 2

The following story that cleared the Associated Press Wire on Monday caught my eye.

WIGAN, England (AP) - The outcome was so embarrassing that Wigan's players want to refund the cost of tickets to their fans. Wigan was routed 9-1 by Tottenham on Sunday, matching a league record for most goals scored by a team in a game. Jermain Defoe scored five of Tottenham's eight goals in the second half at White Hart Lane . Wigan defender Mario Melchiot said the players wanted to apologize to their fans who traveled to the game by paying the cost of their tickets. Melchiot says "as a group of professionals we wereembarrassed by the way we performed."

If more of my professional team's took this route, I'd never have to pay out of pocket for my NFL Sunday Ticket ( Bears ), Major League Baseball Extra Innings ( Cubs ) or when we subscribed to it, NBA League Pass ( Timberwolves ). They'd be paying me to watch them!!!!!! Leave it to the Brits.
