The South Dakota High School Activities Association will hold a regular meeting of the Board of Directors today in Pierre at the High School Activities Association's office on North Euclid. The Board is expected to add a 7th class to High School Football splitting up the Class 11AA division into 11AAA and 11AA. Pierre would be in the 11AA division and would become the second largest school in the division. 11AAA would consist of the three public Sioux Falls Schools, two public Rapid City schools, Aberdeen, Watertown and Brandon Valley. If Sioux Falls O'Gorman petitions up to the 11AAA, Brandon Valley would have the opportunity to drop down to the 11AA division. The board will also review it's current state and event venues and begin discussions on where to place the state events for the 2015-16 school year. The board is also expected to approve the contract for John Krogstrand to become the new assistant executive director to replace the retiring Bob Lowery. The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10:30 am. Today's meeting is the rescheduled meeting from the originally scheduled board meeting in January.
