Darren Boyle's weekly words of wisdom... The JCI day one

I things went pretty much as expected in the first day of the Jones County invitational. The first thing that comes to mind is that White River is GOOD..i know that the win at the LNI should have been a signal. But the way the Tigers get points from their defense makes me think that we may get the chance to broadcast the final night of the basketball season.. the best game of the day way our second game as Bennett County played Philip. Two evenly matched teams, and it was Philip who made the plays at the end to get the win and a semifinal matchup with the Tigers.the two evening games were not close. Lyman defeated Stanley County easily, I really expected the game to be much closer but the Buffalo offense struggled and the Raiders advanced. The nightcap was a big win for the host team Jones County, shooting 67% from the field for the game was the big stat and even though it was a 30 point or so margin of victory, I really didnt think Colome played that badly. As the brackets even out expect some good games both in the afternoon and evening session Friday. If you plan to attend Friday or Saturday night you better plan to be there early. At least the weather is nice for standing in line outside. See you at 12:45 tomorrow.
