Darren Boyle's weekly words of wisdom. The JCI day two
another day of basketball in the books at the Murdo auditorium, and White River and Lyman win their semi final games to meet in the championship game Saturday night. The best game of the night was the nightcap between Lyman and Jones County, a spirited affair with the lead going back and forth during the 4th quarter before Lyman got the lead for good in the final minute to come away with a 57-50 win. When you take a look at the rosters of both teams and realize how young they are you have to think that the JC-Lyman rivlary is set to be a good one again for the next few years. And who do you think was the happiest person in the Murdo Auditiorium? It was Eldon Marchall head coach of White River. The Tigers built a large enough lead over Philip in the other semifinal game to rest his starters in the fourth quarter, and I think that will make a difference tomorrow night. Do the Raiders have enough left to keep White River from winning 5 JCI tournamnets in a row? Four more games tomorrow, Colome will play Kadoka for 7th place at 1:00, Stanley County plays Bennett County for 5th. The evening session had Jones County taking on Philip for 3rd place at 6:30 and Lyman plays White River for the JCI title. I hope you have enjoyed our coverage.
