Rod's Sunday Take n Things

Minnesota Vikings fans. You should be proud of offensive tackle and Prow Bowl player Bryant McKinnie. Makes the NFL All Star team for the first time in his career. Decides to skip practice and get's kicked off the NFC team before the game. NFL says he will be fined. Big deal. He should be suspended for the first two or three games next year. Don't play. Don't get to play. That seems to be the only way some of these guys who don't understand the tradition of the game and what the game is all about and that the game is bigger than the person will get it through their thick skulls that what they are doing is something thousands and thousands of football players can only dream of doing. Don't fine em. It means nothing. They don't even miss the money. Or fine them 1/2 a year of their salary. Something that has some bite to it. It is just another example of this year's Vikings team and all the off the field BS that went on. From the Williams boys to the Brett Favre fiasco that was allowed tohappen to Erin Henderson and the list goes on. Zigi, get some guys that will make your organizatiion proud.

  1. Geez Rod, calm down. Soon you'll have plenty of time to complain about your own teams once the Cubbies start up again. Just kiddin' my friend. Hey, that (jumbo rear) McKinnie should never have been selected for the Pro Bowl anyway. Granted this year was a nice surprise not seeing him get called for 3 false starts and 2 holding penalties every single game, but if anybody saw the movie "Blind Side," (Sandra Bullock is unbelievably HOT in that movie) then a left tackle who makes the Pro Bowl should have had a quarterback who didn't get sacked so many times and a running back who should have had a stellar year. Sorry AP - 1300 yards and 18 TD's is pretty good for Maurice Jones-Drew, but you're A. frickin' P!

Rod you'll notice my Nascar fantasy team this year is a tribute to Adrian Peterson - ALL DAY BUTTERFINGERS 28. Good luck this season.

    Brett
