The baseball season ended for the Pierre Post 8 15-16 Teener Green baseball team yesterday when they dropped a 6-1 verdict to Brandon Valley in an elimination game of the State 15-16 Major baseball tournament in Brookings. The Pierre squad was outhit 8-6 in the game and never led in the contest. Cooper Walton went the distance for Pierre Green as he struck out 7 and walked only 1. Austin Wagner and Alex Gray each had 2 hits to pace Pierre Green which went 3 and 2 in the tournament.

The Pierre 13-14 Teener baseball team plays Rapid City Blue in one semi final game of the State 13-14 Teener baseball tournament today in Sioux Falls. Pierre outscored Sioux Falls West 15-14 in their final pool play game of the tournament yesterday. Matt Booth had 4 hits and 5 RBI's to lead Pierre's 18 hit attack in the game. Connor Ryan got 3 hits and was the winning pitcher as he was the 4th pitcher used in the game by Pierre.

Heath Olson of Pierre shot a second round 71 and is in a 3 way tie for the lead with a 147 score in the First Flight of the SDGA Men's Amatuer golf tournament being played in Brookings. Miles Schock, who fired a 69 and was tied for third after the first day ballooned to a 80 yesterday and is well back in the pack in the first flight championship with a 149 tied with 6 other players. Carson Moore of Murdo had a second round of 71 after Friday's first round of 87 and is in the third flight.
