The Pierre Governor golf team fired a 334, cutting 7 strokes off of their score at Yankton but still finished in the second half of the team standings of the Brookings Invitational golf tournament golfed Saturday at the Brookings Country Club. The Governors finished 10th in the team standings and did not have a golfer place in the top 10. Sioux Falls O'Gorman won the team title with a 297 team score.

The Pierre Lady Governor volleyball team lost their 4th match of the season getting shut out by Brookings Saturday night at Riggs High Gym. The Lady Govs lost the match in 3 straight games. Pierre returns to action Thursday night when they travel to Mitchell.

The Pierre Lady Governor tennis team went 2 and 1 duals yesterday at Huron. The Lady Governors dropped a 5-4 verdict to Watertown but won 2 matches by beating Brookings 7-2 and shutting out Huron 9-0. Aubrey Wald for Pierre went 6-0 winning three singles at flight 6 and 3 doubles wins with partner Emily Dix at flight 3 doubles for the Lady Govs best performance of the day.
