The Pierre Lady Governor golf wrapped up the golf season with a 4th place finish at the State AA girls golf state tournament at Brookings yesterday. The Lady Govs fired a 357 during the second day of the tournament to finish with a two round total 711, two shots better than fifth place finishing Huron, but 40 shots behind tournament champion Sioux Falls O'Gorman. Sophomore Hallie Getz fired a second round 83 for a two round total of 165 and finished in a tie for 6th individually. Getz was 9 shots behind individual medalist Dani Selberg of Brookings. Paige Erickson had a second round of 84 for a two round total 170 and finished in a tie for 10th. Both Getz and Erickson earned All State honors for their finishes. Karissa Guthrie and Katie Bartlett both finished with a 188 over the two rounds and tied for 42nd. Tatum Richards 212 two day score tied her for 72nd. Paige Lonbakken had a 214 and a 74th place finish. Congratulation to head coach John Knox and the Lady Govs for an excellent season that included 3 tournament champios and top 5 finish at the state tournament. And everybody will be back next year!!!!
