Don't take too much out of last night's performance by Post 8. They ended on a positive note scoring 6 runs in the last of the 7th. The first game was one of those games. Ask the Cincinatti Reds. They got beat 22-1 earlier this week and then won the next night over the Phillies. Tomorrow's a new day when they play at Valley Springs. But even then how about Ryan Yackley 4 for 4 and can Adam Deneke flat out turn the after burners on, on that inside the park home run!!!! And it doesn't matter what the cap color, but the greens still look good with the pinstripes.
First basketball team camp for the Governors is this weekend at Southwest State. Next week they go to Northern State. Good chance to see the big kid, now 7'1 Josh Monroy and how much he has improved, if any.
And don't forget that Monday is the night any one in the community can drop by Hyde Stadium and lend the Post 8 baseball board a hand in painting / staining the outfield and foul territory fences. 6:30 p.m. We host the 15-16 AA State Teener tournament next month. 4 day, double elimination tournament. And Pierre is in it, since they are hosting the 8 team tournament.
