Rod's Friday Ramblings 8/8/09

Kuddos to Pierre Baseball Board guys running the 15-16 State Teener tournaments and the work they did yesterday to get the field ready to play two games last night. If their wives are anything like mine when I was on the board, they are probably saying, "If he would work that hard on our lawn at home like they do on that field, our lawn would look good too! Broncos fans shouldn't quite so hard on Kyle Orton. They booed him yesterday at training camp after he threw a couple of interceptions and bad passes. He has been booed many times before, it doesn't bother him. Oh and last time I checked, he has a winning record as a starting quarterback. At all levels! Rapid City Post 22 is playing Dickinson in an elimination game of the Central Plains Region tournament. Two teams Pierre played this year. Pierre went 2-1 against Post 22 and 1-3 against Dickinson. And with all the hub bub about the State Teener tournament in Pierre, hopefully not getting lost in the shuffle are the B Teeners. Sam Koenecke's crew is in the 15-16 "Minor" (Could they come up with a different name than major and minor, like AA and A and then call the smaller communties the B and C division tournaments. But not A, B, C and D. D for some reason is considered a Degrading word) tournament in Yankton playing Huron and Sioux Falls Central in pool play. They are 23-19 this year. Last year they won 4, count em 4 total games. That is quite a turn around.
