Rod's Ramblings Sunday 8/9/01

The baseball season is over for Pierre teams. The A Teeners went 1 and 2 and out. A dissapointing end to the season. Watertown seemed to know what they were doing when they got the rule passed that allowed players on Legion state rosters to be on the Teener roster if they were eligible. I hope they are abiding by the "intent" of the rule. I still think Pierre and Mitchell were right when they stood alone and voted against the rule. And 1 and 2 and out unfortunatly is something alot of Pierre ball players will have to live with going into their next sport. Legion: 1 and 2 and out at their Region tournament. A Teeners, 1 and 2 and out at their state tournament (No regions in A Teener ball). The B Teeners are 1 and 2 and out of the running for a title at their state tournament although they get to play a 3rd place game today so at least they have a chance to finish the season with a win. 13-14 Teeners, 1 and 2 and out at their state tournament (no region tournament). And then the Rattlers amatuer squad went 1 and 2 and out last weekend at their region tournament. Lets hope that 1 and 2 and out is a result in the future that our guys learn to hate and becomes not an acceptable result.
