Rod's Monday thoughts for 10/5/09
The football capital might very well be in Cinncinati, Ohio. The undefeated Bearcats in college and the Bengals. Game of the week in high school football will be in Pierre Friday night. Brandon Valley at Pierre. Number 3 vs. 5. First time Pierre has played a high school football game with some meaning in the conference standings for about 4 years. And Brandon Valley won Friday over Sioux Falls Roosevelt BIG!!!!! And they did it with 2, count em on one hand, 2 rushing yards. How about this for football fun. Nebraska at Missouri on Thursday night. Brandon Valley at Pierre Friday. Thank goodness the Bears have a bye week!!!!!! And face it, the Vikings at the Rams? Tavaris should get alot of snaps......And Saturday, The Lady Gov volleyball parents will be having a Walking Taco fundraiser all day from 11:30 a.m. to about 7:30 p.m. Pierre plays Rapid City Central and Stevens on Saturday. $3. For that price, you can buy several bags and get your drink too!!!!!

Brandon Valley and Pierre could be the Game of the Week, but for my money, I think I'd still like to see Philip at Lyman. Two unbeatens in the same region, likely meeting for only the first time this season, with another one to come in early November. This is the one the entire state will have an eye on.
