Last night's Pierre volleyball win has moved them up in the district seedings. They are now 3rd in the seedings moving ahead of Mitchell. So how important does that make Tuesday's match against Huron. No matter what the Lady Govs do tonight against Watertown, they will be playing basically for second seed and home court in the first round. What a difference a little confidence makes after winning that Brookings match on Monday.
The Governor football team has played alot better football this year than they did last night against Huron but they have not dominated game like they did last night at Huron. The only time Huron threatened was when it was 35-0. Huron got to just short of the 10 yard line when the second team defense stepped up and stopped a 17 play drive! Thursday night against unbeaten Aberdeen Central should be fun as the Govenors have a chance to put an end to the frustrations of the last couple of football seasons. For the seniors, these are the games you always hoped you could play for. And what a story line it could be. From worst to first in one single year!!!!
