Jebben Keyes of Pierre may be the next Pierre track standout. Keyes finished 13th in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 10 minutes, 15.92 seconds at the USA Track and Field National Junior Olympic meet in Wichita, Kan. yesterday.

The Pierre 15-16 White Teener Baseball team split a doubleheader with Brookings yesteerday losing the opening league contest 13-3 but came back to win the nightcap 8-5. In the second game, Alex Meagher went the distance allowing 10 hits and 5 runs. A 5 run 4th inning was the big inning. Ben Liedholt had 3 of Pierre's 8 hits. In the opener, which counted in the league standings, Liedholt was the losing pitcher allowing 7 runs in 4.1 innings pitched. Graham Protexter had 2 of Pierre's 5 hits in the contest. The Whites wrap up the regular season by playing the Pierre Green Teener squad in a doubleheader at Hyde Stadium this evening.
